We are proud to announce that our 20MW / 60MWh LiFePO₄ Battery Energy Storage Project, jointly developed by Čevo Solar and GJP International, has been selected by the European Union as a strategic investment to strengthen Montenegro’s energy security and green transition.
This landmark project represents a major step forward in the country’s renewable energy infrastructure, supporting grid stability, enhancing energy independence, and integrating more clean power sources into Montenegro’s national system. By deploying advanced LiFePO₄ battery technology, the project will deliver reliable, sustainable energy storage to complement solar and wind generation — a crucial component of the EU’s broader strategy for a resilient, low-carbon energy future in the Western Balkans.
It was an honor for Dragoslav Damjanović and Ulrike Gravert-Jenny to attend the official launch ceremony at the conference “Smart Growth, Green Future: Accelerating Investment in Montenegro,” held under the leadership of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, and Minister for Energy and Mining Admir Šahmanović.
Hosted by BT2I, the event brought together European and Montenegrin leaders, investors, and innovators to discuss how strategic projects can drive economic growth while advancing sustainable development goals. The selection of our project by the European Union underscores the region’s growing potential as a hub for renewable energy innovation and collaboration.
We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters for their confidence and commitment. Together, we are proud to contribute to Montenegro’s green future — one powered by clean energy, smart investment, and shared vision.
